AMAZING DR. AND STAFF! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!. Dr. Rawnsley's practice along with the UCLA medical center are the highest standard in care giving as well as plastic surgery! Every other surgeon and surgical center should be measured to this wonderful and skilled staff. I am a 20 year old female and I sought Dr. Rawnsley expertise after undergoing a botched rhinoplasty at a different surgical center, performed by another surgeon. From the first consultation Dr. Rawnsley and his staff treated my family and I with the utmost respect. He and his staff greeted us with a warm, caring embrace, as if we were part of their family. Before I came to see Dr. Rawnsley, I was skeptical about getting revision rhinoplasty. Having had nose surgery before without the desired outcome, I was definitely afraid that the same thing would happen again. Not with Dr. Rawnsley! After my first consultation, he pointed out what the first surgeon did wrong and the precise way that it should be fixed. Having confirmed that my first surgery's outcome was less than desirable and what exactly Dr. Rawnsley would do to fix it, my nerves were immediately calmed. I felt even better after our next consultation, in which he did computer imaging that showed what he expected I would look like after the revision rhinoplasty. The computer images looked great and turned my remaining nerves into excitement. After a few more consultations, I felt very prepared for the surgery. I was given pre- and post-op instructions via e-mail, which answered any other questions I had. On the day of surgery, the nurses and anesthesiologist were kind and made me feel comfortable. And Dr. Rawnsley assured me that everything would go smoothly. The next thing I remember is waking up with surprisingly little pain. Dr. Rawnsley told me that everything went great. After about a week, I went in to get my cast removed. Despite a little swelling, I could see results right away. My previously bumpy cartilage was now smooth and straight, just what I wanted! My profile looked great instantly! After about another week, the swelling significantly decreased and my nose looked even better. It has been approximately six weeks since my surgery and I can do everything I used to be able to do. My nose feels comfortable and mobile. And it looks natural! The most important thing for me has been how my nose looks on camera. Being an actress, I was always self-conscious about how my nose looked from certain angles on film. During auditions, I was very aware of how I positioned my face in front of the camera. Sometimes, it even distracted me from the piece that I was reading. With previous films I'd done, I couldn't even use most shots on my acting reel because I felt so insecure about the way my nose used to look. Not anymore! Now I can focus on the material in front of me and the scenes that I'm in instead of focusing on showing off my "good side." Now all my angles look good! For anyone considering revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Rawnsley, I would highly recommend it. I could not have felt more comfortable or asked for better results. Because revision rhinoplasty is different from regular rhinoplasty, I think it is important to go to a revision specialist like Dr. Rawnsley. Not only does he know what he is doing, it is quite obvious that he loves to do it. And that makes for an incredibly positive experience!
