What To Expect
You will stop throwing away photos that picture your nose the 'wrong way'Rhinoplasty is an outpatient, day surgery, but it does take some time to fully recover from it. Dr. Rawnsley does not pack the nose. While pain is minimal, most patients experience a mild headache in the first day. You will be able to resume light regular activities after one to two days, including working from home. Within a week your cast will be removed. Over the next month, the swelling will continue to diminish. Bruising occurs in about half of the rhinoplasty patients, and is resolved within 7-10 days.
Visualize Yourself After Surgery
"The whole experience could not have been better. I am very, very, very happy - and my husband is thrilled!"
Once the swelling has gone down is when you will really see the difference that rhinoplasty can make not only in how you see yourself, but in how you feel about yourself. Patients often comment that they no longer wince at their reflection in a window or mirror. They no longer feel the need to shade their nose with makeup, or angle their face in a certain way for photos. More than anything, patients find that friends and family say "You look amazing! Did you lose weight?"
